The Tohoku-Pacific Region Earthquake

The Japan Foundation would like to extend our sincerest condolences and deepest sympathy to the victims of the Tohoku-Pacific Ocean earthquake of March 11 and their families. We would like to express our gratitude for the warm messages of encouragement and support that we have been receiving from people in Canada and the international community.

The Japan Foundation will do our utmost to continue to promote mutual understanding and cultural exchange through our programs, with a belief that we will be able to overcome this difficult situation and find the way that leads to recovery and reconstruction with the help and support of people from all around the world.

The Japan Foundation, Toronto will continue to work at full capacity, but certain projects may be affected by this disaster. We would appreciate your understanding in this situation.

Thank you again for your support, encouragement and understanding.
