The Japan Foundation Japanese Studies Fellowship Program
This program provides outstanding overseas scholars and researchers with opportunities to conduct research in Japan. Scholars, researchers and doctoral candidates who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents and meet the specific criteria listed in the application are eligible to apply. All Fellowship recipients must be nationals of a country that has diplomatic relations with Japan.

Grant Program for Intellectual Exchange Conferences
This program provides grants to cover partial expenses for implementing international intellectual forums. It is designed to deepen mutual understanding and establish closer relations between Japan and other countries while promoting global intellectual exchange. Non-profit institutions such as universities, research institutes and NGO/NPOs are eligible to apply. Applications from individuals will not be accepted.
