Arts and Cultural Exchange

Programs and events offered by The Japan Foundation, Toronto serve to promote a greater awareness and appreciation of art and culture from Japan. Arts and cultural activities include:

  • Arts and Cultural Exchange programs and events offered by The Japan Foundation
  • small-scale local grants to Canadian arts organisations organising events promoting Japanese visual art, film or performing arts
  • cultural events, such as exhibitions, screenings, readings and performances, held at our centre year round

Programs

  • Exhibitions Abroad Support Program
  • Support Program for Translation and Publication on Japan
  • Support Program for Film and TV Program Production on Japan

Local Grants

Local grants may be available to non-profit organisations that are producing events involving Japanese artists, performers or filmmakers. Due to a decrease in funding, the Japan Foundation, Toronto will be offering a very limited number of local grants in the 2008-09 fiscal year.
